Commercial Construction
Flatwork is judged years later, by whether it cracked and whether it drains. Both of those are decided by what happens under it before anyone pours.
Slabs, equipment pads, walkways and aprons. The sub-base, the compaction and the reinforcement are the job; the pour is the visible part. We do the ground preparation and the concrete as one scope rather than two.
Compacted properly, because that is what stops it cracking.
Placed and supported rather than laid on the ground and hoped for.
It has to shed water. Flat is not the same as level.
A yard, a walkway and an equipment pad want different finishes.
Cleared and graded lot ready for construction
Framed structure going up on a Phoenix build
Concrete being placed and screeded on a Phoenix slab
